• Some emergencies are easily identified. Other kinds of emergencies are not. If, for any reason, you feel that your animal is not acting “right” or normal, please call us during our normal office hours or an emergency clinic after hours. If you decide to take your pet to an emergency hospital, please call ahead to alert their staff of your emergency.

    Common Warning Signs:

    • Difficulty breathing

    • Major trauma

    • Facial Swelling

    • Infections

    • Difficulty urinating

    • Fever or Hypothermia

    • Poisoning

    • Lacerations & Bite Wounds

    • Prolonged Vomiting or Diarrhea

    • Serious bleeding

    • Eye problems

  • In times of evacuation, have a “Go Bag,” ready for your pets too! Below is a list of items to consider packing for your dog.

    Consider what your pet needs 3-5 days with you, or consult your trusted boarding facility for items they may require. Some boarding facilities may require proof of vaccination, for example.
